Rosco
Age: 1 yr.
Sex: male neutered

ADOPTED BY THE PASHLEY FAMILY - 1/17/26 Hi, I’m Roscoe and this year I’m manifesting a forever home”.
Last year I was found as a stray in a rural area but thankful the shelter called Miss Beth and Miss Beth called Miss Christine and Mr Bruce to foster me (character development).
This year?
-I learned how to crate like a champ overnight
-I mastered pack life with multiple dogs (5 regulars and two short term friend’s dog watching) from 25-100 plus lbs. I only give the big guy (picture giant bloodhound!) a bit of trouble when I get to nap in the bed with foster mom and the gang. No one else and we play all day? Maybe he is a bed hog?
-I was just neutered so the initial meets required a bit of excitement humping but that’s all behind us in foster.
-I’m learning boundaries and listening when corrected (personal growth!)
I play all day with the dog gang (cats unknown), I take pack leash walks, and love the big fenced yard/deck. So, I’m figuring out how to be my best Beagle self in a busy house. Progress, not perfection.
My resolution is simple:
- Find my people
- Love them with my whole heart
- Nap dramatically in their bed Contact Rayne of SOS Beagle Rescue

He was part of a confiscation case and we are thankful this small rural shelter cared. Needs more leash work, hasn't been exposed much yet to a home, loves people. Clean in his kennel. Cats unknown. Cheddar
Age: 11 mo.
Sex: male neutered

Chocolate tri-colored boy, a stray in TN. Came in with double cherry eyes which have been tacked. One eye still has a slight residual but vet says repairing it again could result in too much scar tissue and since it is not painful nor does it affect his vision, no further action is necessary. Cheddar has been in doggie daycare in TN and gets along great with other dogs, he is active and adorable and under 25#. Contact Rayne of SOS Beagle Rescue

Desi
Age: 1 yr.
Sex: male neutered

ADOPTED BY THE CORTES FAMILY - 1/21/26 Meet Desi -Your Next Great Love Story!
Desi’s story started rough. He came to us from a rural shelter painfully thin and unsure of the world, but oh, how things have changed. With good groceries, a steady routine, and lots of love (especially from Beth, Director & Head Kibble Dealer and volunteers Bree, Ben, etc), Desi has found his stride and his sparkle.
You may remember Desi as one half of the Desi & Lucy duo. Lucy has already landed her happily-ever-after - now it’s Desi’s turn.
This leggy, handsome boy greets his people with his whole heart worn right on his sleeve. He is a hugger, a people-lover, and a total affection sponge. If you’ve got hands, he’d like them on him, please. All the love. All the time.
The good stuff:
Loves people more than anything
Food-motivated and eager to learn (easy to train with consistency)
Doing well with kennel training when kept on a schedule
Settles nicely once routines are established
A few honest notes:
He gained weight slowly and successfully but may attempt to convince new families he’s still starving (beagle gonna beagle). Should be around around 28 lbs or so. Shoulder height a bit over 15 but thin build.
Can be a bit shy at first, then warms up fast
Sometimes an excited “tinkle” if he’s waited too long - much improved with routine
Can be kennel-loud initially but settles
Plays best with easygoing female dogs
Can get overly excited (and a little humpy) with other dogs at first stressing them out
Might be too jumpy for small children or tiny dogs
Cats are an unknown
His dream home:
Desi would absolutely sell his left kidney for a fenced yard and an active family who wants a fun, affectionate beagle to grow with, train, and love. House time, structure, and human connection are key - he thrives when he’s part of the action.
Looking for a lovable young beagle you can shape into the very best family member? Choose me. Choose Desi. This beagle is sponsored by: Rob Odorisio & Robbie Young in memory of Pete and Jack Contact Lindsay of SOS Beagle Rescue

Frazer
Age: 1+ yrs.
Sex: male neutered

ADOPTED BY THE SMITH FAMILY -1/19/26 One year old, 16# Frazer came up from TN and was great in his PA foster home for the 7-10 days he was there. He was adopted out and was a bit shy initially, but then developed a bit of a quirk. He would sit and cuddle on the couch with the husband, but when John left to use the bathroom or get a snack and came back, Frazer reacted by keeping his distance, barking, raising his hackles but wagging his tail the whole time. John tried different things, changing the pitch of his voice to a falsetto, removing his glasses and baseball cap, changing colognes and even going without deodorant for a couple days to see if it was a certain scent or look that was causing the reaction. John only drew the line at shaving off his beard. (But Frazer hasn't reacted to other men with beards since being returned - his family was afraid that Frazer's uneasiness in their home would be detrimental to him and with tears brought him back to rescue.)
Since Frazer came from a situation of 4 dogs with a man who wasn't caring for them we have no idea how he was treated in his original home for 9 months.
We've exposed Frazer to as many men as I can wrangle into the house (!) and with some he is perfectly fine, with others he'll bark and keep his distance, at least until the person visits 2-3 times. He gets along wonderfully with resident dog Jake and the other fosters, does not react to me or other women who have been over.
Frazer says he hoped Santa hasn't been paying a lot of attention to the naughty list though.
• Like the 3 times I jumped foster mom's 4' wooden fence and then played keep-away for 20 minutes.
• Oh, and how I kicked out the pan in my crate when foster mom forgot to latch it in.
• I jumped the baby gate several times, letting all the fosters go upstairs. Foster mom wasn't real happy about having to chase all of us down
• Oops, I forgot how I shredded the towel in my crates into miniscule pieces and then pulled a leash into my crate and made 4 out of it!
• Foster mom left my harness on me in the crate between walks one day. It really bothered me so I just chewed it off. What else could I do -- I don't have opposable thumbs that would let me unclip it.
• Be sure to tell Santa I'm really smart, though - I know how to unlatch my crate so foster mom has to put a clip on it!
• I sure hope Santa forgives typical puppy stuff! I’m really really good when I’m asleep –that should count, right?
Frazer's ideal home would be a women only home with male friends who visit willing to ignore him for the first few visits, perhaps another dog for company, either a 6" fence or a home with no fence where he is leash-walked.
Roll him on his back in your arms and he lays there enjoying belly rubs.
He knows Santa has his work cut out for him, but hopes that Santa can still find someone who is at least willing to come meet him. This beagle is sponsored by: Donna Monek in memory of Kasey & Maggie Contact Linda of SOS Beagle Rescue

Honey
Age: 1 yr.
Sex: female spayed

ADOPTED BY THE RIGGINS FAMILY - 1/31/26 NJ FOSTER UPDATE: Honey is a one year old active, friendly female recently returned to SOS. Honey can be vocal when her human leaves home and apartment/condo life is not for her.
She needs work on the leash and her ideal home would be a single family home with at least a 4 foot fence. She loves kids and other beagles. Can be shy at first with people.
Honey loves to play her brand of contact fetch, her chew bones, and her toys. She will get the occasional zoomies, especially at bedtime.
Honey is crate trained and keeps it clean. She normally will sleep through the night unless she turns in very early, in which case a quick pee run may be needed. She will then go back to sleep.
Honey is house trained and will go to the door to signal it's time to go, and may even whine if it's an emergency.
Honey is a sweetheart looking for a second chance in a forever home that suits her needs.
TN input when she first arrived - She likes to be outside but will dig out of the fence if left out so she has to be watched closely. She is great with kids. She is great with our other beagle but will hog food. This beagle is sponsored by: The Holland Family Contact Steve of SOS Beagle Rescue

Willy
Age: Born 9/19/25
Sex: male neutered

ADOPTED BY THE DAVIS FAMILY - 2/1/26 WILLY is the last of a litter abandoned at someone’s home in TN with their mom. Taken to local shelter where SOS was contacted and agreed to take them in. Gobbles food up, probably due to competition as a puppy. A slow feeder bowl would be advantageous or putting a tennis ball in the middle of the bowl would also slow them down. Windy
Age: 1
Sex: female spayed

ADOPTED BY THE FRIEDMAN FAMILY - 1/17/26 Windy is a tiny little girl who initially acts all demure and shy. But once loose in the house, this little girl could be a track and field star - she climbs up on the back of the couch, finds her way onto the top of the crates and washer! If you're looking for an agility dog, she could be it.
She accepts the crate willingly, with only an occasional aroo - but still wouldn't recommend her for apartment/condo living. She has never soiled her crate but has not had a lot of housetime. I just had visitors and she charmed them into petting her non-stop and was in her glory!
Windy would love an active home with fenced yard and maybe someone into performance training (agility, obedience, etc.) This beagle is sponsored by: Donna Monek in memory of Kasey & Maggie Contact Linda of SOS Beagle Rescue
